Dip Into Bliss: Foundation
We’re talking about foundation, and this week we’re also using the stone of onyx. Martin Luther King Jr. is such a sage, I think his words ring true today, especially at a time when a lot of us are feeling anxious about what’s going on in our cities, our states, at our schools, in our colleges. People are kind of wondering what’s going to happen, and what’s going to happen is what we make happen and that’s going to come from having foundation, structure, imagination, and creativity. All these things are really more paramount than ever.
“If we are to go forward, we must go back and rediscover those precious values – that all reality hinges on moral foundations and that all reality has spiritual control.” – Martin Luther King Jr.
I believe there are a few essential foundations to build our lives on: truth, elegant thinking, being authentic, and fundamentally, I think more than anything, realizing that you’ve been sent here for your own purpose. Your purpose is different to mine, different to your mom and dad, different to your brothers and your sisters and your aunts and your uncles and your friends and all of that- different to anyone else in the space, in the universe. You have been sent here with entirely your own purpose, and your reason for being is to stop, listen, and discover what that might be. That comes though the journey of stillness, from the journey of stillness, where you can just shut up long enough to listen and receive.
