Our theme of September is intention. What’s your intention? What’s your highest calling? To act on those intentions takes intelligence. What is intelligence? It is the ability to think, feel, and act upon something.
“Joy in looking and comprehending is nature’s most beautiful gift.”– Albert Einstein
There’s an unbelievable delight that comes in actually understanding and comprehending. That’s where your own intelligence comes in. Intelligence can come from what you read in books and what you learn on the streets, but it also comes from tuning into your own natural intelligence. Pay attention to how you connect with yourself and how you connect with everything else and tune into that frequency.
I use my intelligence all the time. I come from a family with beautiful minds. I’ve had the pleasure of learning how to use my intelligence from my family, who are my greatest teachers. I realized the power of my natural intelligence in a really big way when I came to this county with only $300 and 2 telephone numbers. That was intelligence 101. I quickly had to decide how I could be here, legally, how I was going to survive, and how I could make America, especially New York, something I could work with, that could be my delight and thrill. That took intelligence, grit, and a lot of hard work.
