It’s September- the month of intention. I hope that by now you are thinking about your intentions. This is a time when we’re changing seasons, and it’s especially important to set intentions during this time of transition. This week’s theme, and our last theme for the month of intention, is imagination.
“Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything.” – Plato
Music is everything. It’s the thing that gives us wings, the thing that excites us and delights us; it’s got great power. And to make music, you must have an incredible imagination. Imagination will seed ideas, and imagination will also give manifest to the unmanifested. This really means that what doesn’t exist, you feel, you see, you hear, and then you create.
There is a bit of a difference between imagination and creativity. I think the great power comes when they actually come together. Imagination is the power of dreams, what can I imagine this to be, taking from the invisible realms. Creativity is the great power that goes this is the great idea, but how am I going to get there? Along with creativity and imagination, hard work is also needed to get things done. Once you’ve imagined something, creativity will actually put power and action into it. Let me know what you think!
